Global technology firm Google has recently revealed its latest technology advancement

Google has recently revealed its latest technology advancement that will simplify human lives through artificial intelligence (a branch of computer science dealing with the simulation of intelligent behavior in computers).

The global technology firm further revealed how research on the human brain has advanced neuroscience in boosting computer technology features in devices we often interact with such as mobile phones.

Artificial intelligence has enabled smartphones perform better in the areas of image recognition, language translation, speech recognition, natural language understanding and voice search engine. Whereby, such features found in computers have enabled our world to be better and secure in terms of conducting electronic commerce, virtual reality interaction and knowledge reference since most of our online research on any topic is enabled by Google.

Speaking at a hotel in Nairobi, Principal Scientist Blaise Aguera y Arcas (on the left hand side below), who leads a team at Google focusing on Machine Intelligence for mobile devices said that Google will keep focus on Machine Intelligence for mobile devices, to empower many citizens in Africa and the world at large by giving them

the necessary support to better understand the web and how to use the online tools available to them.

“Machine learning improves the products Google offers everyone, and makes possible what was impossible just a few years ago. The Google Assistant uses an assortment of machine learning technologies to provide a better experience, from speech recognition to better ranking the information that comes back to answer questions”, said Scientist Aguera y Arcas.

Among the guest speakers was Google Communication Reputation and Public Affairs Manager(London) Laura Scott (on the right hand side in the picture above ) who said that the Google app on every smartphone has speech recognition features that turns the sounds into words, and natural language processing helps understand what one means.

Google’s innovative search technologies links millions of people around the world with information. Founded about two decades ago, by Stanford PhD. students Larry Page and Sergey Brin,Google today is a top web property in all major global markets.
